About the Artist
Inspired by natural bone forms, rural technology, and geometric structure, Charles Paulatos has produced a distinctive body of work that is both modern and intensely primal, public yet deeply personal.
Born and raised in rural Minnesota, Charles Paulatos became captivated by metal early on through the experience of working at his family's welding shop. His award-winning sculptures have been exhibited internationally – including at the Seolbong International Sculpture Park in South Korea, DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Massachusetts, and Franconia Sculpture Park in Minnesota – and can be found in many public and private collections.
